MEMORIAS, I

Jaime Torres Bodet, an outstanding writer in Spanish and cornerstone for the consolidation of Mexican educational Institutions, leaves a truthful testimony of his presence in these Institutions and the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs. It offers a vast perspective of his age, the people, and events that were relevant for the last 75 years of the 20th century in Mexico; however, due to his role as a diplomat, he also refers to an international picture of events in the same time. This volume tells his first memories from his childhood, how his interest for literature was awaken, the creation of Contemporaneous magazine, his travels, and of course his intense role as educator and diplomat.
