Moving poems through which we learn the story of a little girl who has fled the war in Kosovo to request asylum in Sweden. Natalija renews her hope in this new country where she makes new friends and discovers other children who suffer from what is known as "The Resignation Syndrome"; a syndrome that affects children who have been denied asylum. Faced with the horror of returning to their place of origin, they are plunged into a catatonic state that can sometimes last for years. A hard and hopeful story that is also a call to protect childhood and the innocence of children.
